Profile
Yuki Kagoya received his MD at the University of Tokyo in 2007 and completed clinical training for Internal Medicine, Hematology & Medical Oncology, and Transplantation Medicine. Dr. Kagoya was then involved in basic research on leukemia initiating cells during his PhD training. After obtaining PhD, he joined Dr. Naoto Hirano’s laboratory at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto to be dedicated to research on cancer immunology and immunotherapy (2014-2018). He served on Aichi Cancer Center Research Institute as the Principal Investigator for 3 years prior to his recruitment to Keio University.

Satoshi Inoue completed his Ph.D. with Prof. Shigeki Mizuno at the University of Tohoku (1998-2001) and post-doctoral training with Dr. Toshiki Tamura at the Bio-oriented Technology Research Advancement Institution (2001-2002). He then continued his post-doctoral studies with Prof. Gerald Cohen at the Medical Research Council Toxicology Unit (Leicester, UK) prior to joining the Campbell Family Institute for Breast Cancer Research at the University Health Network (Toronto, Canada) as a post-doctoral fellow with Prof. Tak W Mak, where he investigated mechanisms of apoptosis and tumorigenesis. Then, he worked on cancer genomics with Prof. Hiroyuki Mano at the National Cancer Center Research Institute. He has been working with Dr. Kagoya’ lab since 2021 to improve adoptive cancer immunotherapy.

Yusuke Ito received his MD at the University of Tokyo in 2014 and completed clinical training for Internal Medicine and Hematology at Toranomon Hospital. He was then involved in basic research on hematopoiesis during his PhD training at Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo. After obtaining PhD, he has been working on tumor immunology with Prof. Yuki Kagoya at Aichi Cancer Center Research Institute (2022.1-2023.1) and Keio University (2023.2-).

Tsunenori Ouchida received his Ph.D. with Prof. Eiji Miyoshi and Prof. Masahiro Ueda at the University of Osaka in 2023. After obtaining Ph.D., he established monoclonal antibodies against various membrane proteins as a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Yukinari Kato lab at the University of Tohoku (2023-2024). Since 2024, he has been working in Prof. Yuki Kagoya lab to develop synthetic systems to bring out the advantages of cell-based therapeutics.
